![]() ![]() Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights debuts Sept. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, an after-hours event at Magic Kingdom, begins Aug. SeaWorld Orlando also will hold Spooktacular, a less-horrifying Halloween event, during daytime park hours starting Sept. Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando will be on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus the day before Halloween (a Monday) and Halloween (Tuesday, the final night). Some rides will be operating, including Ice Breaker, Mako and Manta roller coaster, according to the site FAQ. There will be “violence, gore and blood.” There are Howl-O-Scream ticket discounts for annual passholders. It’s intended for a “mature audience,” the website notes. “Don’t get too close, or she’ll pull you in and with her passionate exhale, she’ll start a fire from within.”įine type for the event: None of the Howl-O-Scream tickets include daytime admission to the parks or parking. “Flame has an intensity that will light you up,” it also says. However, I find that if you smile and are polite to staff, you generally get same back and please and thank you goes a long way. There's plenty to see and loads to learn about the animals they house. We were visiting on a relatively quiet day and it made it great for us. Any park can be an absolute pain if very crowded. I think you have to choose your day carefully. That again was a very well performed production - quite different from 7 years ago but circumstances were different then. We then had a spot of lunch and it was surprisingly good and not too expensive, then we popped along to the whale show. That was one hellava coaster - wow (only got one go on it but it is worth waiting for). Didn't have to queue long for Kraken (about 10 minutes) and it still throws you around but it is exhilarating. We then toured the park picking up attractions as went along. The mixture of dolphin interaction, music, acrobatics, colour and those amazing birds make it a very moving performance. ![]() It was exactly the same as 7 years ago but it still has that wow factor and I have seen it 5 times. We first made our way to Blue Horizon show. Some things have changed possibly not improved but it did not impact on the whole day. Haven't been to SeaWorld for seven years but wanted to go again. With our following visit I rather let the children do the newer and even more adventurous Manta ride that is ranked as one of the top steel roller coasters in the world. This was the most daring ride I have done. It does four inversions a pretzel loop and two inline twists. This floorless roller coaster is named after the fictional sea monster of the same name and reaches speeds of over 100km/h. The most thrilling roller coaster ride that I had done was on Kraken during our first visit. If you like sitting up front, ensure that you have a poncho covering you and all your non-waterproof belongings like cameras and cell phones, as these animals are taught to splash! The Sea Lion and Otter Stadium show was just as entertaining. All the seats near the front at the show have been market as “splash zone” area. Sadly, Dawn, one of the veteran trainers seen on one of my photos, died soon after one of our visits, after having been involved in an unfortunate incident with one of the killer whales. We found the interaction between the trainers and the killer whales absolutely amazing. The main attraction being the Shamu Stadium, host area of the Seaworld's iconic killer whale shows. It provides live entertainment, breath taking roller coaster rides as well as other attractions. This popular marine-life theme park is operated separately from the Disney World parks and visited by more than 5 million guests annually. ![]()
